There are both web-based and downloadable programs available for connecting to an IRC network. Two popular web-based clients are found at AQStats.com and Caelestia.net. The software used at AQStats.com is called PJIRC, while Caelestia.net uses a derivative called CaelIRC. More client options such as scripting and preferences can be found by downloading an IRC client. The most popular client for Windows is mIRC. For Macs, try using Ircle.
