Internet Relay Chat
(Redirected from IRC)
Internet Relay Chat (IRC) is a form of real-time Internet chat. Group discussions usually take place in channels, but it is also possible to talk individually to another user through private messaging. Artix Entertainment ChatCaelestia.net serves as the IRC network provider for the various games by Artix Entertainment. The primary channel for game discussion is #battleon, with off-topic and forum discussions taking place in #yulgarsinn. Chat ClientsThere are both web-based and downloadable programs available for connecting to an IRC network. Two popular web-based clients are found at AQStats.com and Caelestia.net. The software used at AQStats.com is called PJIRC, while Caelestia.net uses a derivative called CaelIRC. More client options such as scripting and preferences can be found by downloading an IRC client. The most popular client for Windows is mIRC. For Macs, try using Ircle. |
